How to maintain a cold-cut flying saw on a daily basis?

Machines, like humans, require regular maintenance to function optimally. Otherwise, they may occasionally malfunction. Cold saws are no exception and require regular maintenance by the operator. Below are the daily maintenance points for cold saws:

  1. Ten Daily Checks:

  (1) Check for water, oil, and debris around the equipment and clean them up promptly.

  (2) Check for iron filings and other debris on the equipment and fixtures, and clean them up promptly.

  (3) Lubricate the guide rails and slides. Ensure not to use dry oil, and clean iron filings from the guide rails daily.

  (4) Check if the oil pressure and air pressure are within the specified range (hydraulic station pressure gauge, furniture cylinder air pressure, speed measuring cylinder air pressure, clamping roller cylinder air pressure).

  (5) Check if all bolts and screws on the fixtures are loose.

  (6) Check for oil or air leaks, and rust on the fixture oil or air cylinders. Replace them promptly if necessary.

  (7) Check the saw blade wear and tear, and replace it as needed. (Due to different materials and cutting speeds, it is recommended to determine whether to replace the saw blade based on the quality of the cut and the sound during sawing). Use a wrench to replace the saw blade, do not use a hammer. For new saw blades, confirm the saw blade diameter, number of teeth, and thickness.

  (8) Check the position and wear of the steel brush, and adjust or replace it promptly if necessary.

  (9) Clean iron filings from the linear guide and bearings daily and add machine oil.

  (10) Check if the pipe diameter, wall thickness, and steel pipe length settings are correct, and calibrate the pipe length once a day.

  2. Regular Maintenance Items:

  (1) Thin oil lubrication pump 1 at N20~N32

  (2) Two locations at the feed bearing seat. Replenish with calcium-based grease once a month.

  (3) Replenish the main shaft gearbox with calcium-based grease once a month.

  (4) Replenish the gear rack (1 location) with calcium-based grease every 10 days.

  (5) Regularly clean the iron filings and impurities that settle in the water tank to keep the coolant clean. Generally, clean it no more than every 10 days.

  3. Semi-annual Inspection Items:

  (1) Check the sliding surfaces for scratches, wear and tear, and excessive wear.

  (2) Check the air pressure piping and connections for damage.

  (3) Check the cleanliness of the oil in the hydraulic station oil pump, thoroughly clean and replace the hydraulic oil.

  (4) Check the cleanliness of the oil in the gearbox, thoroughly clean and replace the gear oil.

  4. Precautions:

  (1) After changing the specification, confirm whether the high-speed of the flying saw meets the production speed.

  (2) In automatic mode, it is forbidden to zero the length or modify the system parameters.

  (3) When modifying the set length online, reduce the production line speed.

  (4) The support bars before and after the fixture should not be adjusted too tightly, which may prevent the fixture from clamping the steel pipe.

  (5) Avoid cutting open-ended pipes.

  (6) Do not stop the machine during sawing.

  (7) When stopping the machine, exit the automatic mode before disconnecting the control power supply.

  (8) Bent pipes will affect cutting, straighten them as soon as possible.

  (9) When changing the pipe type and adjusting the machine, turn off the flying saw.

  (10) Ensure sufficient cooling water for the saw blade.

  (11) During online production, pay attention to the fluctuation of the production line speed, which should be within the required range.

  (12) Spare saw blades should be hung for storage.

  (13) If a fault is detected, stop the machine immediately.

People often say: Treat your mobile phone like your child. Operators should treat their cold saw like their child. Because it is your daily partner, only with careful maintenance can you cooperate happily!

Advantages and Applications of Pneumatic Twin-Cone Unwinders

Pneumatic twin cone unwinders, with their advantages of high efficiency, precision, and stability, are widely used in the steel, paper, and plastics industries. Using this equipment can effectively improve production efficiency, reduce production costs, and provide strong support for enterprise development. At the same time, with the continuous advancement and updating of technology, pneumatic twin cone unwinders will be applied in more fields, making greater contributions to industrial development.

High-frequency welded pipe production line main equipment

Primarily used for online inspection of small-diameter ERW high-frequency welded pipes. Because the probe does not contact the pipe surface, high-speed flaw detection is possible. It is relatively sensitive to surface defects in high-frequency welded pipes, but less ideal for detecting subsurface and internal surface defects. It can detect defects in the pipe body and weld seam of high-frequency welded pipes, and can use impedance plane technology to analyze the location and depth of the defects.

How to change the saw blade on a cold cut-off saw?

1. Return the cold saw to its origin position, raise the saw blade to the zero position, and turn off the power; 2. Open the locking screws and remove the saw guard door; 3. Loosen the locking screws, use a wrench to loosen the nut, remove the saw blade cover, and then remove the saw blade; 4. When installing the cold saw blade, follow the reverse order of the above steps.
